Where does test come from?

Ok I know the human body produces testosterone naturally in the testes of a male and scientist can some how derive it to create a synthetic form. My question is where do scientist get this from? How do they make it? I know I know :gives: so long as we have it but I was just pondering....

little to complicated for me. from what i gather, its a process of combining 2 parts and turning them into something totally different.
