Anastrozole

i ran a cycle of anastrozole at 1 mg for 30 days because of a sore nip problem. it worked great and towards the end of the thirty days the soreness was completely gone. i ordered an extra bottle just in case and when i ran out of the first bottle i started the second so that i can start to taper myself off of it. i went from 1 mg to .5 but after the first day of running the .5 the soreness came back and now has been there for about 4 days.

i jumped the dose back up to 1 mg in hopes that it would knock out the sore nips again like it the first time but the soreness is not subsiding.

anyone ever heard of this happen or have had this happen to them?

any advice would be appreciated.

its all about hormone balance and rebound.

its a mistake to bump it back to 1mg. you are sending your estrogen levels on a roller coaster and that will make things worse. stay on the .5 and let your hormone level balance out. you may have to deal with the soreness for a few days or even week but it will go away.

i would like to add this as well as further info

i went from 1mg to .5mg starting last Wednesday. started to feel a little sore thursday which progressed through saturday when i decided to bump it back up to 1mg because i got scared. now my nipples are back to how they felt when i first started.

questions-

wouldn't putting it back down to .5mg now just mess with my levels even more?

and in regards to coming off? whats the protocol? what do you recommend i do so that i come off right.

stay on .5 until the soreness goes away. then start running .25mg for 2 weeks or so. then .25mg every other day for 2 weeks. you should be fine to stop.

when it comes to estrogen manipulation, the old style of "pyramiding" and coming off slowly is important.

So its been about a week since I last posted about my problem. Soreness has not subsided. I am getting worried because it seems to be getting worse.

What do you think are the chances that my stuff went bad? I ordered another batch. Figure it will get here within 3-4 days. I will stay on the stuff i have through the end of the weekend and if nothing has changed i will toss the old stuff and start on the new stuff.

any advice?

Anastrozole may cause the soreness to subside but won't cure the problem, you need to run nolvadex if you want the problem over and done with. In your case I would personally hit nolva 60mgs for 2 weeks then 40mgs for another 4 weeks.

ditto lifts but I would go with 40mg for 2 weeks then 20mg for another 2 weeks...
