I see the metric numbers on all the weight plates as well, but those cannot be your numbers you use with all the decimals, Like American increments are usually 2.5, 5, 10, 25, 45, 100 lbs. what are your plate measurements?

Generally similar, in the us you have 45lb plates and they read 20.4 kg. Our gyms have those too and also 20kg plates

Its strange that weight plates got the american standards, usually metrics triumph over SAE. Heck, now american cars are half metric bolts half SAE it s a pain in the ass to work on

We should have a 10 year plan to go metric and be done with it. The fps system is a bit ridiculous if you ask me.....

Yeah it is much easier of a system, But honestly I would be all screwed up using a tape measure, I had a metric one once and couldn't figure it out at all. But for wrenches and tools it is a much easier system.

Metric woul be simpler but I like imperial for certain things, the gym weights is a trend thing, the old barbell sets, the weider weights, golds, then standard olympic plates, some things are better left alone
