muscle spasm when injecting

I have never had this happen until a minute ago. I was injecting into the outside lateral portion of my thigh. While pressing the pin in my leg jumped and spasmed. I pulled out, changed the pin, and shot my glute instead. did I hit a nerve? or just a freak occurence?

I did hit a spot about a half inch lower than usual in order to give where I normally am a break. I was still within the ideal area I beleive though.

That happens all the time to me. The very first time I went to hit quads that happended and I ended up with the pin on the floor about five feet away from me,lol.

I have hit my quad before and felt pain/numbing and a spasm. I knew I hit a nerve. This time there was nothing but a contraction of the muscle for a moment, and then everything went back to normal

I do quads all the time and a few months ago I had this happen to me. It was like when the doctor tests your knee reflex but instead your quad reacts.

happens nearly every time i inject delts. a twitch/spasm - i think nothing of it

I have had it happen plenty of times when injecting quads and a couple times when injecting delts... Its nothing, just carry on as normal

yeah, same here... I dump almost 3 cc's in each thigh .. I love the twitching... I have a nurse do mine she freaks more then me.. ahah
