  • U.S. Border Patrol finds large steroid stash.

Authorities are investigating how bundles filled with hundreds of steroid vials became abandoned along the banks of the Rio Grande near Progreso.

U.S. Border Patrol agents told Action 4 News that the unsual seizure was made last week.

Agents were patroling the Rio Grande when they discovered seven bundles.

Investigators opened the bundles and found 466 vials of steroids and other stimulants worth $218,540 dollars inside.

It's not clear how the drugs got there or who put them there.

Agents with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) are continuing to investigate the case.

Reminds me of how in Nicuragua the fisherman go out and fish for bricks of cocaine that the drug dealers threw overboard when the federales were chasing them. Then the sell them back to the drug dealers. Fishing for Cocaine // Current

But, isn't it interesting that now that Obama is in office, AAS busts seem to have come to a screeching halt? Or, just the frequency at least?
