First off, I'm not looking for a supplier or anything, I just have a question. I know men can get the hormones they need over the internet, can women get their hormones like estrogen and progeterone over the internet without a prescription?

i am sorry but... :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
Men only take the "the hormones they need" aka testosterone because it increases muscle mass etc..
A women taking more estrogen or progesterone would not increase performance, muscle mass, etc.. The only thing a women would get out of taking more estrogen would be more fat storage, increased emotions and birth control lol.
To increase muscle mass, performance etc.. a women would simply take steroids (the same ones males take) at much lower doses..

At what point in anything I said did I mention I needed it for muscle mass and stuff? You certainly assume alot! This is why I don't post on this site anymore cuz everytime I do you treat me like a flaming idiot. For your information, my wife has post menopausal hormone levels from a hysterectomy, but because all the doctors around here are total idiots, they won't prescribe her treatment. So the mood swings and no hair growth and all the other wonderful side effects, we now have to just deal with. I would like to take matters in my own hands just like I did with my hormone therapy, but i can't get a straight answer from you and you laugh at me. Thanks for the help Prick!

Thanks Rocket. That's what I was afraid of. It's just really frustrating that doctors have so much control over us and we can't get any help unless they approve of it. My wife was on HRT 3 years ago and it helped her considerably but through financial problems and stuff we couldn't afford it anymore. I took the same blood tests to this doctor that came from the other doctor that prescribed her treatment and they said everything was fine even after I told them that they helped her significantlly before. They wouldn't even re run the tests to see where she is at now. It's just frustrating.

I suppose I did jump the gun didn't I? I deserve that.
I guess my question is, are all the docs in your area really just "total idiots" or is there a reason they wont prescribe her treatment. I find it hard to believe that the docs simply say "sorry, we will not help you".

They told us they don't have enough justification to run the tests. They just want to put her on anti-depressants. I went through the same thing. I was told that I was totally normal and I went to an endocronologist. When I sent that blood work to another specialist in Georgia she said I was a wreck and prescribed me Test C, and Arimidex. I felt so great after that. I don't really know what the big fear is with the doctors around here but no matter who we go see, they will not help out.

Also, they did run a full thyroid panel which was a good start, and they came back normal. So they ran LH, and prolactin and stuff and they came back normal. They were going to run a glucose test to see if she had an intolerance to carbs, cuz my wife gains alot of weight if she has them, but they said they couldn't run the test cuz she is on a Ketosis diet. After all that they said we don't know whats wrong so we will send you to a specialist to see if you need anti depressants. They wouldn't even consider running the estrogen and progesterone and testosterone tests even after all that.

You need to go in there and demand they do a full blood panel test.Originally posted by mormonmuscle View PostThey told us they don't have enough justification to run the tests. I am pretty sure it is against the law for them to refuse you of blood work. It is especially against the law for them to refuse you help if in fact the blood work comes back showing your wife has some problems with her hormones etc..
Is this maybe an insurance issue? Have you told them you would gladly pay for a full blood test including hormones etc..?

Yes, I know for a fact they did not run the estrogen and stuff. Yes it is an insurance thing. My wife and I sold our house paid off all our bills and moved in with my parents so we could go to school. I was threatened all the time about being laid off and I needed more security. So needless to say we don't have any money, and we are on Medicaid. If the doctor doesn't have enough justification to run those hormone tests then I have to pay for it. I said fine get me a computer and I will research low hormone level symptoms and I will read them off to you. What bothers me is that all the tests they believed to be the problem were wrong and I had previous blood work that was enough to put her on HRT before and they still say there isn't enough justification. You would think after all that it would be plenty of justification.

the only thing i can think of bro is to save up and go in there and ask for a full hormone test. tell them you will pay the costs.Originally posted by mormonmuscle View PostYes, I know for a fact they did not run the estrogen and stuff. I think it would be best to do that. because there is always a chance that she gets the test and its not her hormones causing the problems but maybe some other issue.
i really think it is worth it to save up and get the test done before you go down the road of trying to handle it yourself.
again, i apologize for jumping the gun on all of this. didnt mean any harm. just so used to dipshits asking dumb ass questions that I judged your question before i should have.

even if they dont know how to read the results you can ask for a copy and get it read by anyone you want.Originally posted by mormonmuscle View PostIt's cool man, thanks for the help. We are going to try that actually, but I still have the concern that even if we do get the tests done they will still not know how to read the results. If we do that I will let you know, maybe you will have some possible insight on it.
one other thing that comes to mind is birth control pills. i dont know much about this but i do know that birth control pills are basically estrogen and progesterone. something to think about. if she is in fact low in those 2 hormones, birth control pills would in theory supplement that need.
of course dosage etc.. i have no clue about.

I was thinking that too, but Birth Control has a certain concentration. I doubt it will help his wife that much. She'll need a stronger dosage to get back to where she was beforeOriginally posted by THE BOUNCER View Posteven if they dont know how to read the results you can ask for a copy and get it read by anyone you want.
