    My issues

    1 sex

Like most men in my earlier years everything worked great, never ever had any problems with arousal or erection. Over the years I noticed a slight decrease, now at age 50 I’m a shadow of my old self. Many times it just takes so long by the time everything is over it feels like it was a big production for nothing. Sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s great, sometimes it sucks, and sometimes I can’t even do it. This spring I went through a period of about 2 or 3 months void of any good sex at all, I felt like my sex life was over. I never though I would see the day when my wife would not be able to excite me orally.

    2 my workouts
When I was a teenager I weighed in at 123 lbs. and I benched 220 lbs. I remember actually looking forward to working out just to see how much I had improved. At age 38 I started getting a gut so I reduced my fat intake, joined the Y and worked out, I even started playing racquetball. At 165 lbs. I couldn’t even bench 150 lbs. I did loose 15 lbs. and kept it off.

    3 my back
For the last 20 or so years I have been suffering from back pain. I went to see my Dr. and he prescribed pain pills and recommended exercise. The exercise did help my back.

    4 two years ago
I was at 175 lbs. and decided to join the Y again this time everything was different, I was working out on the same machines I used 10 years earlier but the results were nothing compared to before which was far less than my teen years. I wasn’t loosing the weight either, I had to get really serious about it drinking tee constantly and using Alli I did finally loose 18 lbs. this time as soon as I stopped dieting I gained it right back. My back bothers me more than ever, I live with this pain all the time.

My situation is hard to explain to someone who hasn’t gone through this. I know what I could once do I have been conditioned to believe this is natural, it’s all part of getting older. I don’t believe what has happened to me is normal. Some of the guys I play racquetball with are in their 70’s, some weigh 50+ lbs. more than me and move around the court at twice my speed. I can only play 2 - 3 times a week because my body can’t handle the abuse. I am also always the one who has to take a break.

I’m not sure if this relates but I can’t tolerate heat. I’m hot in a light shirt when others are cold and warring coats. I may have hyperthyroidism.

Also my Dr. discovered a heart murmur about 6 years ago. I know my cholesterol levels are high, can this make a difference?

I felt sure I found the problem when I started researching T everything fit perfectly, the test seemed like more of a formality than anything.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I can only help with some of these things.
1)The sex part I have no clue why as your test is 686 that is insanely high for your age so it has to be something different I have no clue about.
    2) the workouts well sorry bro but as you get older the weights get heavyer you can get back to your old numbers as they are not that outta reach it will just take more time and dedication.
3)Back pain throw the pain meds away and slap your doctor. The always the anwser for these quacks give them pain meds. No that is bullshit you need to drop some body fat and exersize you core (abs) A strong core will make that pain go away is my guess.
4)is the same as number 2 bro you are getting older but by far from old where you cant do this stuff. You need to research the diet section in this fourm and get on a good diet. you dont drink tea to lose weight you need to eat but eat the right things.
the guys that are older and bigger just might have better genitics be in better shape who knows dont worrie about them work on your self
all the rest I have no clue sorry. But as you thought I would of guessed you needed some test but its so high thats not the case. can you get your doc to test agaion maybe there was a mistake?

Your cholesterol is high and could restrict blood flow. You need to do more cardio, more core work ands probably a little test would help.

get thyroid checked and also consider HGH, if you can get the doc to prescribe it.

your test levels are pretty damn high for a 50 year old i am surprised you are having issues with sex.

Thank you for taking the time to help me.

As far as the pain pills, I kept on my doc quite a bit to get them and I was always on the lookout, anytime someone I knew had extra I got them, not that it matters but he is no pill pusher.

I am in total agreement with you on exercising my core, I was hoping the racquetball would help. I am not sure if it’s good or bad. Racquetball is exercise but it’s not slow and controlled. What do you think? I relish the pain after a good workout, it makes me fell like I accomplished something. The back pain with racquetball is much more intense, and even after 2 years it doesn’t seem to diminish. I know my core is weak, I never exercised it when I was younger. The 6 pack abs weren’t in style back then.

When I looked for exercises to strengthen my core the stuff I saw on the internet were simple basic at home stuff. Thinking about adding some lunges, and row exercises.

I think I will get that thyroid checked, but from what I have read even if it is f-up your better off leaving it alone anyway.

I will look into that HGH and I am going to try some Androgel just for the heck of it.

I don’t know what to think on my blood pressure. Sometimes it’s a little high, sometimes really high, and sometimes normal.

Thanks for the pep talk, sometimes you just get so pissed off when your body doesn’t respond like you want. I’m certainly not giving in, that much I guarantee.

I would keep up with the racquetballif you like it that much. good cardio workout. I would also add in some sit ups/crunches I perfer the hanging leg lifts but just find one you like and can do correct. Your abs will help take over some of the strees on your back.

I think if your realy at 686 the androl gel will just fuck you up. I wouldnt use it. The andro gel will be just enough to shut down your natural production of test but not give you anymore than you already have. Ill take natty test over andro gel anyday. Andro gel is for people with low test

I would also consider having your test levels checked again. They can mix up your blood sometimes believe me it happened to me before. It sounds like you have low testosterone levels but its odd that your test results say otherwise.good luck though I hope you can find a solution to these problems you're having
