Details are super sketchy right now, but one of my long time friends within the GenXXL/Axio Labs organization (I’ve got friends everywhere…), has confirmed that Axio Labs has been busted. If this information is incorrect, then it’s someone within the company who has actually given me the bad info. But when I consider the probability of this happening, I think it’s very low, and once again I need to restate the fact that I have had someone within Axio Labs confirm that they’ve been busted.
I can think of no reason why someone inside of the organization itself would tell me that they’ve been busted, if it weren’t 100% true.
The forum reps who are currently defending Axio are probably not lying, they just have no idea what they’re talking about – or their accounts have been taken over by the feds. Since Operation Raw Deal, it has been a well established tactic of US Law Enforcement to appropriate the online identities of busted steroid dealers and labs, and continue taking orders (though not actually shipping anything).
The Axio Labs/GenXXL forum was recently taken down from Outlaw Muscle and IronMagazine.com, and I would imagine that their forums will quickly begin disappearing across the ‘net. Several of their forum reps are attempting to get rid of (or change) their screen names on various discussion boards – although I am unsure as to whether that means they know something and aren’t sharing, or they’re simply preparing for the worst.
Thus far, although one person from Axio has confided in me privately, there has been no official or public confirmation of them being busted.
Over on Steroid.com, where some of the staff members are Axio reps, they’re being suspiciously quiet about the bust.
The public facts are something like this: A steroid bust has been reported in Cyprus, where Axio is known to operate. Axio’s website simultaneously goes offline, and their reps begin circulating the story that there is an issue with the server, then the hardware, and the story just keeps changing. Both the Axio Labs main site, as well as the XtraXXL.com discussion site and forums have been taken offline, as have several other sites on multiple servers owned by the company.
Now, less than a week later, I’ve had an Axio employee confirm that the lab has been busted.
Axio Labs being busted comes as no surprise to many, and in fact, this is not the first time they’ve been busted. For the record, this would be the third time we’ve seen a bust that involved Axio’s owner or employees – Brian Wainstein, the current owner of the company, was busted and served time in Ireland back in 2007 (4 months of a two year sentence)…while Glenn England, who is in charge of Canadian operations for the company, pleaded guilty to a multi-million dollar steroid offense in 2009 (yet served no time, and continued working for the company under the screen name “LivingSteel”).
Just because Axio got busted (again) doesn’t mean they’re necessarily out of business. And even if they’re out of business, I’m sure we’ll see their products (and counterfeits) on the market for years to come (thanks to guys like International Pharmaceuticals)
Immediately after British Dragon was busted, and well after Wainstein and England were also busted, Axio Labs publicly announced that they were no longer going to ship to the United States – which was a lie, but at least they were showing a modicum of respect for the DEA and FDA. However, that respect was short lived, and in recent months we’ve seen Axio not only shipping to the United States (and getting packages intercepted with alarming frequency, but going to far as to issue press releases (!). I’m not sure if this is because they’re incredibly stupid, or if Brian Wainstein’s crippling Nubain addiction has finally gotten the best of him and fried what little brain he had left.
While this bust would be a feather in the cap of the DEA and FDA-OCI, it is far from the Earth-shattering event that it’s being made out to be. It’s not the first time Axio has been busted, and it’s not even the second. It’s the third f*cking time these morons have had the owner or his second-in-command busted.
Unfortunately, while I know that Brian Wainstein has been indicted here in the USA, the indictment is still sealed, and I have been unable to positively confirm anything regarding him personally. I do know that he has been in the business of purchasing illegal passports and forged identification for several years, which probably accounts for his ability to stay somewhat anonymous since he last got out of prison (although he still has family that he communicates with regularly, all of whom I can identify by name – so it’s a sure bet that law enforcement officials know who they are as well).
Again, I am saying that Axio Labs has been busted, and I’m also saying that the source of this information is someone I know from within the company; but I’m also saying that this isn’t the first time these ass-clowns have been busted.
