mr I, i have been training every other day for the last few month and really like it compared to 5 days on 2 days off type schedule. i feel more recovered and more ready to hit the gym. its hard staying away on the off days but you are all the more excited to go to the gym the next day.
for example i have been doing chest and arms on the same day. chest is one of those parts for me that will grow out of proportion compared to other parts so i only do one movement each week for it. i change it up. 1 week it will be 4 sets of incline presses until failure, the next week it will be flys until failure etc.. i also do dips for triceps so i guess i really do 2 movements for chest considering the dips hit the chest so well also.
for triceps i will do 4 sets of behind the head DB extension until failure and 4 sets of cable pushdowns until failure. biceps i will do 4 sets of DB curls and then right into hammer curls on the same set. from there i will go to the preachure curl machine and do 4 sets until failure each.
i change shit up all the time but that gives you an idea. i train with the thought process of maximal pump. my goal is to see how pumped with blood and water i can get each muscle. weight means little to me but sometimes you need weight to get that pump.
