  • Long cycle ?

    Hey Bounce,

What do you think of a dude early 40's coming off a six month cycle of test only-low dose only 375-450, test e only and armidex. There is also some contemplation of pushing the dose up for another 10 weeks and then coming off.

As you have some long cycle experience--YEARS-- I figured I would pick your brain about coming off, how your levels were after, and any insight you have on it. Not sure if "cruising" is desired yet. Blood work has been fine to date. BP a little high but has been regulated. Anyway, thoughts on this would be appreciated!

Anyone's insight and opinion is welcome, just gathering info.

I'm just going to be honest instead of telling you something that is not true in order to make you feel better.

It sucks bro, it really sucks. Emotionally and physically. I can only imagine that at your age it would be worse. 450mgs a week isnt really low dose either bro. Low dose would be more along the lines of 150-200mg per week which is about HRT dose.

If I were in your shoes I would not come off. I would run something like 250mgs per week for a couple months followed by higher doses. Of course this should always go along with blood work especially at the age where shit can start to go wrong.

You may be asking the wrong person though because my current mindset is that I cannot except feeling like a normal person. I need the high of feeling like I do on AAS. Scary truth.

Appreciate the honesty with where your at. Being older you do feel the effects of HRT or a cycle more than when you are younger from what I know..the caution on not just running it forever comes from having to take an injection of anyyyyything for the rest of your life. If its optional great. Have too? Kinda scary shit IMO. I'll take low test levels naturally over no test level. But then again..as you hit your 40's your test production and level is already slowing and lowering....

Curious if any one else older is kicking that around or doing it.

one thing you could do is come off, run PCT, then after PCT go get your test levels tested. if they are really really low then you have your answer in terms of if you should go back on or not.

Thats not a bad idea. Always been good before when coming off, but never ran such a long cycle before. Did your levels come back when you came off after 2 years or so?

I mean I guess they did. I didn't get blood work or anything. The thing is though, when you are on for 2 years you get use to that "high" of feeling great. You get use to "performing" :hibb: a certain way etc.. It all becomes the norm. So when you come off its is an absolute shock to realize the superman version of yourself is not the real you. For me that is extremely depressing and hard to deal with.

so yes, i returned to being "normal" but normal is not a good thing when you are used to feeling much better then normal. hope that makes sense.

It does completely. You definitely feel the effects in that regard more as you age I think, in terms of a normal cycle and the fallout when coming off. Two years on and coming off I imagine your body and your brain was used to that level of performance so I could see how it could be completely depressing.

I think the solution may be to run another 10 weeks through the seasonal depression of winter, come off with good PCT and see where levels are at. It is what it is at this point..and as you get older if your any kind of athlete--getting old sucks.

I'm 38, and I've decided to stay at HRT test levels minimum from here on out. I feel and look great using 250mg of test a week...when I'm older, I'll probably be fine at 125mg per week...but the ups and downs of coming off completely just to recover to a normal 38 year old test level that I'm sure to not be happy with just aren't worth it.

when running long periods or harsh drugs like tren I try to stay on HCG or at least take HCG the last 10 weeks of cycle right up to the day I start Nolva.
this will give you your best chances of recovery as you system is primed to get going again. I also use clomid in my PCT even though studys say it is not needed it seems to help me.
I am 44 and my wife is about to have baby any day now. she got prego with in 6 weeks after last shot. this tels me my PCT is good.

I would also look into just dropping down to 150 mgs per week as HRT. this is what my doc has me on and it keeps me high on the test level charts. I still dont like it I really love 250mgs but just to give body a rest 150 seems smart.
this is first year I am staying on so I will need to expermint but I am gonna run 150 mgs maybe 4 months a year and 250mgs to 450mgs the rest of the time adding in tren or what ever as I feel like it.

Thanks for the insight. Rocket, I hope all is well with the family. I will keep you posted, --10 weeks, HCG and dex in the mix, then solid PCT and bloodwork and see how it looks. More importantly though I think as you get older is how you actually feel. Bounce makes a very good point about wanting to feel good and perform at a higher level. I think as you hit your forties it would be hard not to run an HRT dosage.
