  • LOW T

Please be patient, I've been through a lot!!!
    I'm 33 and only did 1 cycle of Test E at 25 y.o.
I stayed clean a year and my Natty T recovered between 582-663 ng/dl....
I saw a TRT clinic doc a year later cause I felt tired, sluggish and low sex drive. Doc told me my levels were not optimum for my age and advised HCG mono protocol 350 i.u. 3 times a week which would put me in 865 ng/dl range for Total T...
4 years into this my blood came back at 519 ng/dl Total T...
    I was 29 y.o. with the 519 ng/dl...
TRT doc told me to go on T shots and use HCG while on to keep sperm count...
He started me off at 120 mg/week and moved me up to 180 mg/week of Test E...
1 year later my family doc sent me in for a sleep study and the study came back showing I had Severe Sleep Apnea.
I stayed on TRT for 2.5 years without HCG...and family doc told me to give it a try to stay clean and see what my body can recover to since we found what my underlying problem was (Severe sleep apnea)
I used some HCG in June 2012 after stopping TRT....
    I've done a half doz. blood panels and I can't get my Total T over 291 ng/dl...it was 383 ng/dl back in Jan 2013...
but all blood work since then has been no more than 291 ng/dl.

Have I done damage to my system?
    can I ever recover?

The CPAP machine has really helped me...had I had it when my Total T was higher maybe I would not have gone though all this with TRT shots...
I have been on 0.25 mg of ADEX E3D since last year and my FSH, LH are low normal....just normal...
when I discontinue the ADEX I feel bloated and more tired.
I don't feel my old self and have low libido.
My Free Testosterone is LOW too...
    26 pmol/L (Range:31-94 pmol/L)

I have an appointment with an endo in 3 weeks....but I have no faith. I asked my doc for clomid and he is playing politics with me and said "whatever endo prescribes"...
this family doc has put me through hell all these months!!!

After discontinuing the TRT last year....
I gained 22 lbs. I was 273 while on TRT and gained weight to 295 lbs.
I never worked out and ate freely. But I would just gain weight around mid section...
I started weight training and running in June 2013 (this year) and have knocked weight down to 278 lbs...
I've been lifting weights all my life and my body has muscle as well.
My family Doc says my BMI is 40 and that I am "obese"
He said because I'm obese I have low T....
but I was natty and at 255-263 lbs and had 582 ng/dl of Total T
how does adding 20-30 pounds drop your T like that?
I went to another family doc and he laughed when the doc said I was "obese"....
he said "you could drop some weight, but I wouldn't say you are obese"....

I heard weight training and lifting heavy would boost my Total T...
I been lifting EOD (to not over train) eat good food, fats, Zinc, and I can't get over 291 ng/dl....
      family doc says it's "normal"...
I've been thinking about this a lot since July (this one that passed) and it's like it's bringing me down...
I'm trying to not let it...
I would have started TRT again...but since being off for 15 months...
I feel I owe myself the chance of doing a restart with clomid...
My body feels soft, muscle is not there and strength sucks...as well as libido.
I asked for clomid and took my doc a study down in MA an endocrinology unit...he says: :"yes good study it will help you...but I'm not prescribing it"....
he is playing politics...we are fighting in his office and he says: "whatever endo says"
he even said to me: "what if it gives you breast cancer, wouldn't you want me to protect you"?

          ok.

          -Went to TRT clinic at 25 y.o. and T.T. was 582-663 ng/dl
-TRT clinic doc said levels are not optimum for my age, after telling him I felt kinda low energy, mildly depressed, no morning erections e.t.c.
-TRT doc put me on HCG mono protocol for 4 years which I used off and on at 350 i.u. 3 times a week.
-after being on it for 4 years T.T. was coming in at 519 ng/dl...
-TRT doc advised to use T shots.
-Off TRT since last June 2012 after being on it for 2.5 years no HCG while on.
-Did HCG 450 i.u. 3 times a week for 8 weeks after stopping TRT.
-June 2010 found out I had "Highly Severe Sleep Apnea"...
          -Started CPAP...felt improvements.
-May 2012 family doc (who is anti TRT) told me to dump this nonsense with TRT, as my body is perfectly normal and give it time to come back on it's own.

Well.......it's not coming back on it's own...
My T.T. last blood tests all have me at 265-291 ng/dl T.T.

I have appointment with endo...after I asked for him to send me to one...it's in 3 weeks...
I still can go back to that TRT clinic doc...
but I don't really think he is a good doc....

            Did 1 cycle of Test E at 24 y.o. 750 mg/week for 10 weeks.
My T.T. was initially higher than the 582-663 ng/dl I posted up on top when I went in to this TRT clinic.
My FSH was low and the family doc had sent me to an endo months prior to me going to this TRT clinic...
Endo never prescribed anything for my low FSH....so I sought my own doc at that TRT clinic and he advised a HCG mono protocol.
Had the endo knew something about his job....he could have gave me clomid...
he saw my T.T. in the mid range and said I'm totally fine!

              33 y.o. now
been on Adex 0.25 mg E3D to present since being off TRT...
problem is If I cut the Adex out I feel I retain more water, more tired...
I think it has been keeping my T.T. slightly up to the 291 ng/dl and If I cut it out it probably sinks my T.T. lower
My FSH, LH are just barely in the normal range.

Why not just stay on Trt? Have you discussed a restart with your doc?

The TRT doc told me to stay on HCG while using T to not ruin my sperm count...
I asked the TRT doc to run some clomid...he said nothing else works only HCG and T...
what kind of restart would work here?
My family doc (who is anti TRT) is to blame for everything.
The dirt bag told me to come off T shots because he said he could do what the Testosterone supplementation did but with ANTI -D's (Paxil, Wellbutrin). He said my BMI is "obese"...I been working out since I was 16 for fucks sake...I gained some weight last year after cutting out the T shots and my system crashed.

Says he has no respect for my TRT doc and that he is not an endo.

I lost the enjoyment I had when I did activities, while on T shots (sports, camping, hunting) everything feels like a drag now and I am extremely irritable and go into rages when I'm angry.

I took a Study on clomid done by the Lahey clinic into my family doc. He said the study was good and that this was positive for me and it would help me...but that he would not write the script. I asked "why"?
He said: "what if it gives you breast cancer wouldn't you want me to look out for you"?
then he goes on to say: "if the endo prescribes it I'm ok with it"...
so what does this mean? if it causes breast cancer he's ok with it cause someone else gave the script and not him?
I can't read it any other way....

He told me to come off everything and he turned his back on me. He is grasping at straws and when my mother went into see him (she is a patient of his too) he told her "that I am not listening to him, and my Testosterone is fine"...
He never told me any of this he said "lose weight and it will increase"
"don't eat bread" is his advice...
lost close to 18 pounds and don't feel any more libido than I had before...

                  disaster!!!!

Its simple go to another doc. What's your reason for coming off?? Is it because this doc told you to?

I was between 258-265 lbs 4 years ago PRIOR to TRT and with T.T. 582 ng/dl
LH was 5 IU/L (double what it is now) and FSH was 2 IU/L
I'm 278 lbs now and he says I'm "obese"....
I have a feeling my Pituitary would have responded to Clomid stimulation but he did not give it to me. I have no fucking energy to train hard...
he expects me to be on top of the world with 265 ng/dl T.T.
The Study I gave him from the Lahey Clinic says that is the level of a 70 year old.
My Free T was low last month....below range low....not just low!!!!

Yes. He told me so. He said: "go without the TRT, we don't know the long term effects of this....I can do what the TRT can do...but with Anti Depressants"
"you found was was wrong with you and you are treating your sleep apnea....let it go for a while."
I told him I never felt "depressed"....he was implying on giving me SSRI, NDRI's to increase my neurotransmitters...tricking me into feeling a greater sense of well being.
I clued in after he said the Testosterone you take makes you fel good...because you re raising levels of neurotransmitters in your brain.

My body has become soft since coming off the T. I use to have harder muscles and my strength was more.

I can tell you so much about this guy...you would get sick of hearing it.

I did blood work 2 weeks ago and called his secretary for my results...
she won't give it to me. He told her to tell me to make an appointment to come in to see them.
This is how they drain the medical system here in Canada.
It's basically one test she has to tell me over the phone for Total T level.
I have been to see this doc a half doz. times since June 2013 and he has done NOTHING!!!!! prescribed NOTHING!!!!!
and he wants me to go in... AGAIN... so he can bill the Govt. and drain the system.
                            Scum!
