  • Strong Evidence That Anabolic Steroids Build More Muscle Than Lifting Weights

"Steroids alone without lifting builds more muscle mass than training with weights naturally."

Looks like dogshit but he does seem to have some good science behind his claims.

Well for what it's worth I have been case in point the last six months because I virtually stopped training.

I'm still over 230 and look like a bull. I stayed on to promote healing and retain as much strength to support the injury.

If I'd have come off completely cold turkey but kept on training I'd probably be feeling beat up and may be about the same as now maybe leaner

There is some truth to this. A good buddy of mine due to injuries, work, and personal life couldn't workout for 6 months. If he did workout it was a quick 15min workout on a lunch break or something. Diet was absolute shit. For years he did powerlifting and strongman before coming over to bodybuilding.

He ran test consecutively and never came off. He cycled GH 3iu's 3 days on, 1 day off. He said that combination would keep him pain free. He always stayed the same size, for a short guy he managed to stay at 260lbs and was still squatting 600's for 1.

He said if it weren't for the drugs he would shrivel down to nothing.

Here's the thing though. You guys are all talking about maintaining muscle that has already been put on with training and Steroids.

What about in the untrained individual? 2 identical twins, never trained in there life. 1 takes Steroids and does nothing else. The other twin joins a Gym and trains hard, eats right naturally.

You guys are saying the twin on steroids who does nothing will out on more muscle?

            Yes. Hormones are everything.

Have you ever seen some of those black guys who don't work out and eat shit and are ripped?

And this goes back to the calories in/out discussion. Certain types of calories affect hormones differently. Certain gut bacteria affect hormones differently.

Nah I disagree. There has to be some level of stimulation for growth. Hormones play a huge rule I agree there.

Hormones play a large roll in maintaining muscle even if there hasn't been stimulation in several months.

If someone with hormones doesn't work out they'll maintain their muscle and just shed off fat (to a certain extent)

But unless you're going through puberty you won't put on NEW muscle without stimulation and adequete protien regardless of hormones. Maintaining what you have isn't what is being discussed. The muscle has to be torn to grow. If you just couch potato and take a gram of test you'll just grow tits.

Yeah not so easy to actually grow muscle without training

This is more to do with genetics. There are plenty of people with high hormone levels who look like garbage.

Don't you get stimulation in day to day life? Walking, Driving, playing with the kids, etc.

You agree that genetics can build muscle without training so that pretty much proves the argument, right? That it's possible to build muscle without training/stimulation.

Yea but that's not really the argument specifically. We're talking about hormones and high levels of hormones being able to build muscle untrained compared to the natural trained person.

My argument is that yes genetics play a huge role and so do hormones. BUT. You take those identical twins again with the same genetics and you give 1 Steroids and sofa living, he will not look as good or put on the same muscle as his natty twin killing it in the gym.
