  • Steroid Bust Of Beautiful Young Woman In Australia

Government of Australia going after the real criminals here folks..

Stevie Rennie walked into the Supreme Court of Queensland pushing a baby stroller on Wednesday, May 25, 2016. The mother of four young children admitted that she helped her former boyfriend run an underground laboratory (UGL) which manufactured and distributed anabolic steroids. She pleaded guilty to a single count of unlawfully producing a dangerous drug (anabolic steroids).

Prosecutors never considered Rennie to be the “principal offender” in the steroid trafficking enterprise. They accepted that she was merely helping her then-boyfriend Scott Brennand with his illicit steroid business. Nonetheless, the Crown prosecutor's office originally charged her with three counts of trafficking and producing anabolic steroids. The charges were reduced to a single count of producing drugs (steroids) after negotiations with prosecutors.

The local news media had a field day with Rennie's case. “She looks like a normal Brisbane mother with a happy family...” began one news story. It portrayed the wholesome-looking, blonde and attractive woman as a suburban mom breaking bad with a “secret life” of cooking up steroids.

Clearly, Rennie had had enough of the media stalking her. When she made an in court, the media acted like paparazzi stalking a celebrity. Rennie was desperate to escape the media scrutiny. She tried to hide herself under a blanket as she pushed her young child in a stroller. Her sister guided them away from the photographers while expressing her displeasure with an obscene gesture.

Queensland Supreme Court Justice Martin Burns didn't comment of the news media's treatment of Rennie. However, he sharply rebuked police investigators for a “totally inappropriate” field interview on the day of her arrest in 2014.

“(In the police field interview) there is discussion (by police officers) about co-accused going to jail and also her going to jail,” Justice Burns said.

“I thought it was totally inappropriate. I found the questioning of both accused concerning.

“In the case of one of them … an indication was made that they did not wish to answer any further questions. But despite that, (the) questioning persisted and admissions were obtained.”

Malcolm Harrison, the defense attorney representing Rennie, made sure to remind the court that her ex-boyfriend and the “principal offender” in the underground steroid lab, had already been sentenced and allowed to avoid jail time with a suspended sentence of 2-1/2 years.

Crown prosecutor Sarah Dennis made it clear that the prosecution has no intentions of pursuing prison time for the mother of four.

Harrison pushed back the sentencing date to allow time for Rennie to consult with and be assessed by a clinical psychologist.

Rennie is scheduled to appearance in court for sentencing of September 9, 2016

really is. the whole point to Australia was that it was supposed to be wild and free. Europe's California if you will, a wild west sort of place. But what's the point of the place now? Crocodile Dundee would probably have his knife confiscated in modern Australia..
