  • Lumps in my biceps?

Ok im an idiot. I tried site injecting the new QV batches of prop, when i heard everyone is gettin absesses. Im wonderin if thats what this is.

i one golf ball sized lump in each bicep i can feel when i press on the muscle. If i press hard it hurts. What do i do about this? Will it go away in time?

when did you inject?....more than likely it's just the oil build up and it will go away in time.....not to worry

I'd go to the doc bro, if it's been a whole week and still hasn't gone down you might have to get it drained. I've done bi's before with no problems, just the usual soreness at other spots.

Congrats, you are the unlucky winner of an abcess...what you have done is not fully penetrated the muscle, and the build up of fluid has solidified in between the muscle tissue and the fatty tissue

2 options, go to the doc, and tell him what you have done, insurance most likely wont cover it

the other, and I DONT!!!! reccomend this, but if you cant see a doc, youre gonna need a bottle of benzoyl alcohol, and a bottle of sterile water, along with an 18g pin....

first you gonna insert the pin, into the lump and pull back on the syringe, odds are you will get a good chunk of a grey soupy puss looking substance that is sitting right on top....using a smaller gauge, flush the area with BA...drain again, with the 18g...keep repeating till the swelling goes down, flush the area with sterile water, and drain one final time, get on a mild dose of antibiotics, just in case an infection has possibly set in...you'll be aware of that if the area becomes red, painful and hot to the touch

again, if you dont know what you are doing, stay the hell away
I suggest this as a means of last resort

home surgery isnt fun...but I have a fairly well idea of what Im doing, as to why I did this on my own, and didnt get an infection luckly

That all looks right except this is weird. There is hardly any redness, no pain, and no swelling at all. My bicep LOOKS completly normal. Is it definatly an abcess?

Doom, youv done this before with success? How can i be sure i got all the BA and sterile water out after i drain it? Will it matter if i dont get it all out? My friend had an abcess a while back in the quad, and the doc gave him a medication that got rid of it. This fuckin blows.

Also, what exactly is an abcess? The oil is trapped in there? What happens if i leave it there and try to heat and firmly massage it?

Doom - would you recommend taking antibiotics prior to the draining procedure to help sway chances of infection?

you said you have a golf ball like lump, is it on the muscle itself?

Ive done this before on more than one occasion, you rush an injection, hit the wrong spot, too much in one area, its bound to happen.

An abcess is one of two things, one is like what I have described, where it has to be drained, and the healed with antibiotics, the other is a pure muscle infection, where the gear, or needle wasnt 100% clean, and started to breakdown the muscle fibers, like a bad staph infection...

what you have is the oil trapped in limbo so to speak, it never fully hit the muscle, and is now trapped there, it cant really dispearse through fatty tissue so its just gonna hang out for a while...longer it sits, the more chance of an infection

so again, if its not in the muscle, it has to be drained, if its in the muscle, I dont know why the hell you have lumps like that

and unless you feel very confident about doing this, I wouldnt

What batch # QV PROP are You using? I have heard that the 007's are bad news. However, I used it w/ no problem.

To get a better idea of whats goin on. . .

I used a 1inch pin and hit each bicep with 1cc of QV prop every 4 days for a week n a half. Im pretty sure it got into the muscle. I also took my time injecting it slowly, and also always make SURE it was clean and everything was sterile. I dont understand how this could have happened unless the gear was dirty.
