  • Quad sweep?

OK doom, lemme keep this one here. PLEEASSEE.

I got great responses on the last one, so i figured id throw up the hard one.

My quad sweep need a lot of work. Its not small, but compared to my teardrop n upper quad it isnt proportionate. Whenever i train legs, no matter what iv tried, my teardrop takes the brunt of the load. My teardrop gets so pumped its painful, and the next day thats the part thats sore. Dont have any soreness in my sweep what so ever. I can push on it, flex my legs, only thing that hurts is teardrop n upper theigh. Help!

    you mean lower thigh right?

I use a quarter plate underneath my heels. Keep your heels pretty close together but your toes can be pointed out. Focus on keeping good form and not to let your thighs have to wide of a stance. this develops my whole quadriceps. good feeling and beware my friend its not that easy. I thinks its most important to really keep your thighs together on the press part( moving back up) portion of the lift. later bro.

Try deep hack squat with your feet together, its great for the quad sweep.

Iv tried all of this, and it all works fine when i keep the weight moderate. When im squattin and i get up to 400lbs, i cant concentrate on form that will target what im aiming at, the sweep. My form is still good, but its just a normal squat. I am trying to hit my sweep with the heaviest weight possible.

I think my teardrop has become so large and strong compared to my sweep, it takes the brunt of the load no matter where i positiion myself. I basically dont need to know how to incorporate the sweep, but negate the teardrop.
