  • reusing pins??

I have only a few 18 gauge pins that I will use for drawing up my gear, If I put these in a plastice bag and run alcohol through them will these be safe to reuse for drawing up solution or should I just order more??? I will use brand new pinz for the actual injection. Thanks for any advice, Ecto

order more..they are so cheap, there is really no excuse not to use a clean needle for everything.

I use the same needle to draw for about half my cycle then change out in the middle. When I'm done using it I put it back on the syringe it came on and recap it and put it back in the wrapper. Never had problems but if concerned you could do like goliath said and use a new one everytime.

I have used the same pin for drawing up the gear as I am limited in the numer of 18 gauge needles as well. I never had a problem, just make sure not to re-inject with the same needle. And if you do decide to use the same one twice to draw up the gear, than do like you said and clean it out with alcohol. They are cheap though, but I havent had any problems. --- Hollywood

ALWAYS use new pins!!! They're cheap, so why risk an infection to save about ten bucks on a cycle when you've already spent so damn much on your gear and PCT?

I'm a Gulf War Vet. I saw some of effects of reused pinz to some buddies of mine that got injured. Bro's, I'm also a nurse... don't practice any more though. Please, for the love GOD, if you're spending so much $$$, what's a couple more bucks for extra pinz? It's only your body you're talking about. You only get one. Sorry to ramble.

I think some people are not reading the thread correct and some are. he's not talking about injecting with the same pin fellas, he's talking about withdrawing with the same pin.

Even though he's talking about drawing with the same needle sterility is still an issue. Pins are the cheepest part of a cycle i have HUNDREDS at my house right now. Just buy more, no point in taking chances to save 4 or 5 bucks.

You still run the risk of contaminating the contents within the vial, and then drawing it up and injecting. Why would you want to risk it? That's all I was pointing out. But hey... that's what's so cool about America. We all have a right to choose, eh? Just my 2cc's though.

The Pictures show a good reason why not to use the same needles.
