I used the same pin to draw for about 3-4 months last year shooting ED and had no problems.

Never reuse pins for anything. Drawing or otherwise. The risk of infection is too great. One use and out it goes.

I agree fully when it comes to drawing up gear and injecting, ALWAYS USE A NEW NEEDLE !!! I go as far as using alcohol wipes for wiping the top of the vial every time I draw a dose. Box of 250 are 4 dollars. THROW AWAY THOSE DARN ONCE USED NEEDLES, CRAP, THEY ARE ABOUT A PENNY A PIECE. OK, enough rambling on. I think everyone gets the point. FREEDUM

Pre load your gear while your new pins are on order.

You could use the same pin for drawing every day for 3 years and not get an infection - but the first time you get one it will be the last time you re-use a pin for anything.

It isn't like I'm shooting gear in a clean room or something, but I do what I can to make it more sterile. That includes changing needles every time for drawing and injecting. It is too cheap and too easy not to.
