    Wow, you dudes F#@KN' amaze me.

    Now I feel that I am a pretty smart guy, I graduated form University(Faculty of Engineering), but you guys really seem to know your shit. Did you guys attend University or some type of chemical courses? Or did you learn this shit on your own? especially that dude SPIDEY. I would love to know how to make my own gear......I was wondering if someone could direct me in finding some literature, or give me some insight on this subject.....how did you guys begin this cool hobby! I love it, it's fuckin' interesting.

    Yes, I graduated with a Ph.D. in synthetic organic chemistry in '95 and I am currently employed in that capacity.

    The problem in making your own gear is not so much the knowledge, but access to chemical reagents and equipment.

    I am lucky in that I work in a fully equipped synthetic lab and have access to many chemical reagents. No one notices if there is one more flask stirring in the corner, LOL.

    I began this "hobby" because I didn't want to risk getting arrested buying the stuff. As long as I take some minor precautions, there is much less risk if I make it myself (not that I would of course. This is all just an academic exercise). Also, there is no chance of me scamming myself, LOL.

      Yeah I guess your right, I figured you need access to certain chemical reagents that the average Joe cannot go out and purchase.

      However, I've been reading about guys creating the own gear by purchasing raw powders....and with a litle BA, BB some oil.... BLA! BLA! BLA! Out comes a high dosed homebrew of you favorite gear. So level with me here. how easy is it (for someone who dosen't have the experience, but has the skills to learn)....the whole process....from getting powder, to the supplies, and so fourth. I want to go with a more legal route, and peace of mind that I know what i'm putting into my body.

        Yeah, that's not so hard if you have a powder source. But we all know that shit is illegal.

        If you want to convert prohormone powders like 1-AD, you can still buy those legally. Get some cold-pressed sesame oil from your local health foods store and some benzyl alcohol and benzyl benzoate from one of the many research companies. You will also need a large (30-50mL) syringe and some 18ga sterile needles and a 0.2 micron syringe filter.

        If I want to make a 1-AD solution that is 100mg/mL, I would dissolve 1g 1-AD powder in 2mL benzyl benzoate + 0.1mL benzyl alcohol with a little heat (hairdryer?). Then dilute this solution to 8mL with the sesame oil. Filter this oil solution into a sterile vial through a 0.2 micron filter and then push another 2mL oil through the filter into the vial to flush the filter. Shake it up and you now have 10mL sterile solution that is 20% BB, 1% BA, and 100mg/mL 1-AD.

          good post, this is of interest to me too. i went to basskilleronline.com and they had some excellent information. finding the supplies is what seems to be the hangup. it looks like most people could follow the instructions. of course ive never done it so i have no experience to reference.

            Spideys' the man.

            Another thing I need to know is what's the diff. between a 2G, 4G & 8G conversion kit? What do the companies include in the kits that makes each one different....is it total amount of oil, solution etc.? Also, how do you know what size filter to use when doin' conversions? I've seen Basskillers site and guys are usin' coffee filters and a Watman filter at the end of the procedure.

              2g, 4g, and 8g kits are for converting 2, 4, or 8g of powder respectively. That means more oil and solution for the higher gram kits.

              I hear the instructions are very clear in the kits but I have never used one myself. I just invented my own, LOL.

              I would use the coffee filters to filter out the binders from crushed up cow-pellets. The whatman is for the final filtration. I think they only include a 0.45 micron filter though and that isn't really small enough to catch things like spores. Buy a 0.2 micron filter and filter the final solution into your sterile vial.

                  Good Shit Spidey. I got my Masters in O'Chem with a minor in Psychopharmacology from the University of Amsterdam. Those days it wasn't really all about AAS but more along the lines of "Smart Drugs". Excuse my grammar, as English isn't my "Mother Tongue".                     Call me ambitius but i am gonna try to follow spidey's path in a few weeks.
                    I study medicine and i will try to enter a research lab for some practise in biochemistry. i will be examed soon so it would be a nice chance to get some to some stuff there + get some reagents for when my practice ends...

                      Sure, why not. It can be kind of a pain to try and set up a lab in your home though. The glassware and equipment is expensive and can be hard to find without arousing suspicion.

                          I'm sure spidey can agree on this, the first couple times mixing your own, etc you'll be slightly nervous, but after that it's a piece of cake. (Unless you're getting into some upper level organic chem).

                          I do think a .45um Whatman is enough to sterilize solution albeit a .22um is better, but unless you've got all day to push your mixture through a filter, I'd go with a .45um. The best and easiest way is to secure some vacuum filtration units from a lab supply store and hook them up to a handvac---much, much, easier. Hand vacs (aka brake bleeder pumps) can be bought extremely cheaply at any auto parts store.
