  • How Have Roids Changed Your Life?

I will be doing my first cycle early this spring and I'd like to ask you vets a few questions. How have steroids changed your life? Have they made a positive impact on your life? In what ways? What about the negatives? Anything you regret about choosing to use them?

i dont think of it as a "life changing decision".....
basically i trained for about 7 years (since freshman high school) the results slowed, i took roids, the results are great if you know what youre doing, and thats pretty much it!

did i reach my potential naturally before useing? NO! of course not, i was 22 years old!
i would have kept growing and getting descent results over time with diet and training, but i would rather get 5 years worth of natural results in 1 or 2 years.
didnt change my life, im not a different person, i just look better and working out is less boring!

I may not be a vet, but I looking back at things now after 4 cycles, about to start the fifth.

      Benefits:
      - Some increase in confidence
      - Increased knowledge of AAS
      - Increased knowledge of my body
      - Better knowledge of my bodies potential
      - Increased weight
      - Healthier outlook on my body, diet, vitamins, etc.

      Drawbacks:
      - More/Darker body hair
      - Higher bodyfat content
      - Two broken hands (not directly related to AAS)
      - Scars on my back from severe acne on my second cycle
      - Having to take Accutane for acne

      What I wish now:
      - That I waited longer before I started AAS
      - That I knew more about it before starting my first cycle
      - That I put more effort into my training and continued to train off cycle
      - That I kept more of my gains that were lost due to my hand fractures

All of these things are my own personal experiences. Several of the bad points and events that have come since my first cycle could have been avoided very easily. Some by talking to people like I have found on some of these boards, along with books, and other forms of knowledge. Others, just by preventing other life events that led me down a road that in the end hurt my health, my gains, and much more.

          dharmakarma.......

bro just remember, AAS is just a tool. And its not even the most important one at that, in achiecing your goals.
you can achieve a great physique with solid diet/training alone.
you can not achieve even a healthy looking body with AAS alone.

my advice to you would be to start slow, and take time to get to know your body and how it reacts to different stuff. Dont fall into the "every cycle has to be more then the last or you wont get results" mentality. Make sure your diet and training is how it should be pertaining to your goals. Read and learn from people who have made mistakes, dont learn from your own mistakes learn from other peoples. Take ALL precautions when it comes to protecting your liver/kidneys/prostate etc.

(no offense to gearjunky, but he sounds like a freaking drug addict with the "i love it more then myself" line......he was probably joking)

Put more importance on diet/training, then on AAS and it will not change you as a person, you will reap the benefits and keep the negatives to a minimum.

In simple terms AS are drugs, plain and simple.

Treat them with respect and you will be okay.

Make yourself more knowedgeable than you ever thought possible about diet, training, rest recuperation, and then AS.

You do the homework first and you will be fine.

Overall for me a positive experience, what negatives came along because I was prepared handled them as well as could be expected. And hopefully not too be repeated.

Above all else, do not listen to others, LISTEN to your body, it knows more than anyone.

            Good Luck

This is real without question. Train not just lift, and develop your body as much as possible ,then and only then should you apply AS which should be used for that extra edge.

i worked out for 6 and a half years before going to AS, prior to AS i was doing alot of rec. drugs and drinking almost constantly so i think that steroids have had a very positive effect of my me becasue i no longer do any street drugs and drink only very rarely... as for side effects from them, i've had to have gyno surgery, which i could've avoided if i done things right, and i have really bad scars from acne on my shoulders and back
