a friend...haha .. had orthoscopic surgery on his shoulder late may, just got off PT last week. he's def ready to get back in the gym, wanted to know how long to wait to run 500mg/wk test only. he doesnt want to reinjure it, btw itd be his first as cycle. his stats..

I would wait a few months till after he is back in the gym and hitting it hard. Thats what I would do.

I would take your time before you cycle. at least 4-5 months of lifting. sometimes steroids can mask pain that you would normally have so you wanna make sure you have a firm strength base in your shoulder before popping the needle.

Welcome to the board. And since I'm fairly new to AS I will also add that when you first start you tend to push harder than you should. So I think it would be best for him to find his limits then slightly push them.
