I recieved an e-mail from them a few days ago, thinking it was a scammer I just deleted it before ever opening the e-mail.

I have been getting a ton of emails from bros around the boards that have infected virus atached! I got that damn getbiggear email the other day.

I already boned myself with this one I opened the email and went to the site and today I'm getting emais back at my cyber rights account saying a message I sent had a virus. WTF I never sent a message anyone know how I can get rid of this crap? Thanx for lookin out doom I learned my lesson

could someone explain to me how someone can resolve an IP address to someone's email? Most IP's assigned by ISP's are dynamic, so you wouldnt always have the same IP address.

they may be able to get your email addy depending on how you have your cookie handling set up, but as far as receiving a virus from visiting a website...never, they would more than likely send you an email that has a virus and its up to your anit-virus software to catch it. I know, I clicked on the link and I dont have any viruses on my puter, nor have I received any email with viruses lately. Your email address is out there, somewhere, how many boards have you used it at?? Lots, I am guessing.....
