  • Nolvadex Raises Testosterone and Saves Your Heart

Chemical athletes who use the anti-oestrogen nolvadex may also be making their blood vessels more healthy, and reducing their risk of a fatal heart attack. According to a trial done by researchers in Cambridge, England.

The active ingredient in preparations like nolvadex is tamoxifen. Nolvadex is a SERM: a compound that is capable of attaching itself to the receptor for the female sex hormone estradiol. What’s more, nolvadex is an anti-oestrogen. The compound forces estradiol off its receptor, thereby preventing estradiol from doing its work. Nolvadex then sits in the estradiol receptor a bit like a key that has broken off in a lock. No other key can be put in the lock, but the door won’t open either. Athletes use nolvadex to counter the side effects of oestrogens, which are produced when testosterone is converted into estradiol. Nolvadex is also used after taking a course of steroids to boost the body’s own testosterone production.

In the British study, 30 men with furred up arteries were given 40 mg of nolvadex every day for 56 days. The researchers wanted to know more about the effect of nolvadex on the heart and the blood vessels. Estradiol has good and bad effects on the heart and arteries. It increases the amount of ‘good cholesterol’ HDL, which is positive. But it also causes blood clots, which is not such good news.

The men’s testosterone levels rose, and their estradiol levels rose too. Apparently the conversion of testosterone into estradiol simply continued.

Most effects are favourable. Lipoprotein (a) is a building block of the ‘bad’ LDL cholesterol. The more of this you have in your blood, the more worried the cardiologists get. The lower the amount of triglycerides and LDL in your blood, the better. They both have an adverse effect on the HDL.

All in all, the researchers were pleasantly surprised by the results of their research. "The data provide strong evidence to support clinical evaluation of SERMs for the treatment of men with CAD", they write in the last sentence of their article.

      Thanks for article.
I knew NOVELDEX rose test levels. Why it can be very useful for a woman.
The raise in testosterone is, really, too small an amount to have any effect on males. Females, however, have such low regular test levels any bump up will make a considerable difference.
I always use NOVELDEX first, at 5-20 mgs, with a female before considering any steroid.
I, usually, can get away with not using any anabolic steroids at all with a bikini competitor. If I do 5-10 mgs Anavar is it.
Figure. Have to use something but try to keep it low as possible.
10 mg Anavar 25 primo pills. Sometimes winstrol but try not to. Winstrol can, easily, cause irreversable side effects in women.
A physique competitor is, just about, the same as training a woman's bodybuilder now. Let them decide how far they want to go.
Only bad thing about NOVELDEX with woman is you need to watch affect on their hair. It is similar to what happens with chemotherapy, but not close to as severe and doesn't happen all the time. At a certain dose the hair can become thinner and even fall out a bit. I am not talking about going bald, I have never seen that happen. If it is a problem its dose dependent, start with lowest amount, I start with 5 mgs, see how it works. If things are working there is no reason to raise. I have only seen this with doses above 10 mgs.
Also, even in the worst cases it is totally reversible upon discontinuation of the drug. Within 6 months off the NOVELDEX the hair will be completely normal.
