  • How bad would you say the gyno is?

    Comment

    • Not the worst it's ever been by any means. I'd say looking at it now it's a mild case of gyno. I've also been off the Anti-Xenoestrogen for little over 3 weeks now.

            • Alright I lied not the last question..

Also was given a bottle of Pink Magic a year ago, obviously haven't touched it, but was wondering if I could take that during letro to prevent the loss of sex drive? Would it affect the reducing process of gyno?

              • no, do not take anything at all that will effect your hormones. read the thread bro, 99% of the people in it got gyno from so called "natural supplements" that promised to boost test. its all dog shit bro.

                • Hello Bouncer,

I will try to condense this as much as possible.

In 2000, I started taking Propecia for hair loss.

At the end of 2004, my doctor recommended I take Proscar and quarter it to save money (college student at the time). I developed sexual side effects in spring 2005 and they never fully ceased until I dropped the finasteride in the fall of 2007. In those 2+ years I tried everything under the sun to get back to normal sexually, at the same time keep my hair.

In December of 2006, I listened to a recommendation on another forum where a doctor spoke about giving his patients a small amount of bio-identical progesterone and how it corrected the sexual side effects.

As stupid and desperate as I was, I took the bio progesterone WHILE STILL ON THE PROPECIA, and that's where it all began - the gyno! I felt sensitivity like I never had before in the nipple area. I ceased the progesterone immediately, got a hormone panel and noticed my estradiol was astronomical, but the progesterone was normal. Being on finasteride seemed to have thrown everything out of whack, especially after taking the progesterone.

It's been nearly 4 years that I've suffered from puffy, pointy pecs/breasts. Even in late 2007 when I dropped finasteride completely, I went on a strict diet and lost weight EVERYWHERE but my pecs and a little tiny pouch around my belly button (felt like a water bag). I checked my hormones again and they were in range, but the estradiol was still high, but not as much as before.

It's not "oh God, I need a bra" big, but I was used to a super flat chest with no puffiness. I used topical DHT in spring of 2008 and it felt like it had dissolved some of the fibrous tissue, but the puffiness still remains. I have not suffered any sensitivity when I touch the nipples (or lightly squeeze them) since I took the progesterone. My most recent hormone panel showed everything was in range. The estradiol was a little on the high side, but still in range.

Since this is not usually the case you've dealt with, as far as what I've read on this forum, would you recommend I start at .5 mg of Letro for a month, then .25 mg for a month, then take Nolva for a couple weeks just to play it safe?

Thanks in advance. I appreciate any and all your input.

                  • hey bouncer,

awsome write up and thanks ahead for taking the time to educate us.. about a year ago, i took a prohormone (dont remeber brand) and obviously developed the sensitivity and puffyness under my breast. at first, they became pretty large and at times i could feel the lump. after going to the dr, i found out that my test levels were very low (167) and now have been prescribed testim gel.

is the letro alone going to help with my situation and if so what doses do i need to take. I was told to take clomid and tamox??? Again, at times it feels like the lump is no longer there and the breast are not as sensitive as it was in the beginning.

                    thanks again for your time

                    • yes the letro will help, just read the thread guys, you are all pretty much in the same situation. pro hormone gives you gyno, you wait awhile, it doesnt go away etc..

once again, just like almost everyone else in the thread. you want to continue to take something that may be messing with your hormones and thus adding to your problem.

NO, get off test rx its dogshit. steroids have less sides and work better then these fake ass supps that give people nothing but problems.

                          • I'm almost finished with my bottle of Letrozole but there's still puffyness around my nipples - mostly the right one. The lump that I had under my nipple doesn't feel as big as it was and the pain went away as soon as I started taking it, it's just the puffyness is still there. Should I buy another bottle or is the puffyness there for good? Just so you know, my gyno started about 2 years ago and I thought surgery was the only way to get rid of it. Then I found this post and started taking the Letrozole in June. Is it just too late for me to get rid of now?
