this article is pretty incomplete and the people who wrote it dont really know much...to diagnose acute renal failure you need baseline characteristics of the patients kidney function which the MD most likely didnt have when the pt. presented , also the patient was given pethidine which is rarely used in clinical practice and completely retarded because it is relatively contraindicated(MD could decide for patient benefit) in kidney disease, and they stated the patient had ARF?...doesnt make sense
