I have a couple of related questions:
What is the optimal rest time between sets?
Should you push each set to the point of muscle failure or stick with your planned 8 to 10 reps? I usually do up to ten reps per set, but push my last set to the point of failure.
I also read in Men's Fitness that if your muscles fail before you reach your rep count, to pause for 2 to 5 seconds then continue until your muscles fail again and to keep doing this until you get your full set done. That way your muscles will reach failure two to three times during the set and will get bigger, faster. Is this good advice?
