Hi everyone. I'm new to the forums, but i really like what i see and have read. I've learned a lot in just the couple of hours that i've been searching. Anyway, here's the scoop. I'm 5'10, 116 lbs and 21 years old. I'm hardcore into soccer and have been since i was 14 being a on a team every season out of the year. So i'm in really good shape as far as endurance goes. Although, i've tolerated being beat down long enough because of my small size. Granted i'm fast, but there is still only so much rough contact my body can handle when i'm one on one with a guy twice my size. I figure my metabolism just needs to slow down....but it still hasn't. I started taking 100% Whey Protein about 6 weeks ago and i still see no difference. I take about 2 glasses of that stuff on the weekdays, 1 after i run and 1 before i go to the gym. And on the weekends i do about 3 glasses each day because i'm not so busy with school. I also started taking creatine about 3 weeks ago, and again...no difference. I work out at the gym only around 45 minutes on the weekdays, but then i do endurance training for about 2 hours after that. On the weekends it's a little more. Now my diet isn't the best, but it's not bad either. I don't drink sodas and i rarely do fast food. I don't eat as much meat as i should, but please realize that i'm a college student and i don't have the money to go out and buy a good piece of meat on a daily basis.
I realize i haven't been on the protein and creatine that long, but for the length of time i've been on it i still have not seen a lb. Today my friend gave me a steroid that he wants me to start using for me to gain some weight called Enantat QV 250. I've never taken a steroid before and haven't really given them any thought, so I google'd it and came across these forums. I read a lot about it on this site and from what i've read it's probably not the smartest thing to do right now. So here's my question, is there any kind of supplement that i can get on to slow my metabolism down? Also, is the protein stuff and the creatine something that i should be taking right now? And as far as the steroid goes, should i hold on to it for now? I don't plan on taking it, but would it be something to consider some time down the road? And just so you know, i play intermural soccer right now and not for my school, so they don't do drug tests. Also please remember that i'm a poor college student and there is only so much money that i can devote to stuff at the gnc. Thanks for all or your time and advice in advance.
