  • Dont know where to start!

    My son who's 14 decided he wanted to start putting some muscle on his 100lb body.
    But I honestly have no idea where to start with him?
    We have a bowflex home gym system, but I have no idea what he should be doing? What his diet should be? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    first off. welcome to the board...

    what is his ultimate goal?

    i wouldnt recommend supplementation cause of his age. aside from maybe some essential fatty acids or multi vitamins or what not.

    go into the nutrition forum there are some good artiicles and posts on starting diets.

    there are plenty of people here willing and happy to help but you also have to help yourself to the vast amount of info on the board so dont be afraid to use the search button :)

          at 14, i think the main goal is to teach your son consistency and ingrain in him the notion that this is a test of patience and perserverence. Kids are often frustrated when things don't come right away...if you teach him good habits now, they will remain with him his whole life.
