i think what really happens with this sort of thing is that when we take selfies we are in control of the perfect lighting, the perfect angle etc.. when stage time hits you are no longer in control of any of it. this is what actually happens i think, it's not that they fuck up their condition last minute. we all all look our absolute best in selfies. i've taken pics in selfies where i look like a candidate for best looking fella in the universe. lol. then on the same day someone else takes a pic of me and i look like the ugliest piece of filth that ever existed on earth. one pic i look like physique classic champ and the next pic looks like i never been to a gym. i'm exaggerating obviously but the difference can be pretty extreme.

I wonder if there is also a bunch of photoshopping and touching up of the photos that happens when you are in control of the photos and their release.
