i am at 258 lbs -- down from around 290 lbs -- things seem to be going well with my diet -- my goal weight is 240 lbs - anything under that would be a bonus -
If you haven't competed before I wouldn't necessarily set a goal weight. Maybe a goal body fat % would be better. Don't try to just get down to a certain weight, let the mirror be your guide and try to get to the weight that you will look best at.
