its the combo of everything. everything is an absolute extreme.
Whats that supposed to mean does it make me feel better, I don't get?

I know bbr's can experience a range of problems like anyone else but my point is the kidneys specifically seem to have a special place in the 'things that go wrong' category when it comes to bodybuilders more so than other atheletes including powerlifters. To this end what causes the damage ? if your saying combo of everything, ok then but in my opinion and from what I read and see and hear, dehydration is a particular risk to the kidneys over and above other factors, way above. In connection therewith diuretics are known to cause severe dehydration and there's more than one account of it being linked to kidney failure, Tom Prince being one.

diuretics are just a piece of the puzzle. they alone do not make the kindneys fail like tom princes did. he took countless oral steroids, ate ibuprofin like candy, drank 5 gals a water, ate a ton of red meat a day, etc.. etc..

ok I see, true and especially the point about the painkillers/anti inflamatory's, but you have to admit from what you read hear, diuretics pose the biggest threat no?

i think if you naturally dont hold much water and you get diet and water right it is possable. but for someone like Cutler or flex wheeler who cant get rid of water very well, not a chance.

So what you guys are saying is, they use diuretics to get their bodies to urinate constantly?

                      Even if they're not competing?

Ok well oral a17a steroids are more renal toxic than other steroids, not assumption, fact. Diuretics are known to be dangerous and I thought it was the kidneys they affected since without water they can't excrete. Can you explain how the explain the extreem diet part and why you know its bad for kidneys? I don't want to assume its the high protien lol!

i would say you are mostly right. but dont down play the effect of years of extreme steroids, massive amounts of protein etc.. without brake on top of those pain killers etc..
