    back in the 70's most guys, if they could add muscle, and get conditioned stood a reasonable chance of achieving a good national placing.

    Nowdays the amount of stuff you have to take and the sacrifices required put most off, add to that only those with good genetics and look will ever be amongst the top in a sport where only the top few make good money

    For me bodybuilding is just as alive as it was then.

    Bodybuilding in my mind is the gym scenes, beach, scenes hanging out in the movie pumping iron. Stage scenes were shit. Stage ain't bodybuilding.

      I have no clue but a few guys I know that do compete say it very political
      and not always the best will win?

          I love bodybuilding. I don't love how gay it has become but I love the training, diet, gassing up, getting bigger/stronger/leaner.
