  • Lee Priest's Training Days Are Over

Veteran bodybuilder Lee Priest has decided to stop lifting weights due to injury and a failed operation to correct the problem.

Lee has been suffering from a crushed nerve in his neck for the past 2 years and this has made it very hard for him to train with weights.

It is not the first time Lee has mentioned this problem. He has been honest with his fans in recent years with the injuries he had.

Lee has finally decided it is better not to touch any weights and just do some cardio to keep in shape.

We wish Lee all the best and hopefully he can recover and do what he loves.

This is what Lee Priest had to say on his official Instagram page:

Yep I’m done! Over the Shit workouts pain over not having a pump on right side for almost two years. It’s been almost 2 years since accident that crushed nerve in my neck. Had operation thinking ok now try get good again. Well after 15 months get tests it was still crushed. So I’m done for now rather look like a normal person then half a bodybuilder. I’ve tried but I’m just beating a dead horse for now and really hating the gym. Something I loved and done since 12. So for now I’m stepping away just cardio and see what comes next.

I knew he had issues and it's a shame to see him hang it up. He's smart about it, unlike Ronnie, and his body will thank him down the road.

I knew he had issues, but didn't realize it was to this extent. Wish him all the best

What are your thoughts on his mentality vs Ronnie?

Is it better to call it quits and move on or never give up and risk more injury? Which would you choose?

There is little more important than your health.

If you weight lifted for 5 years or more you will have given yourself the muscular fortitude and bone density for a lifetime.

Certainly if your past your prime competing date thereally is absolutely no need to keep on at extreme levels. Yates, haney bother let it go because they don't have egos.

Lee is a sensible guy and just doing cardiovascular stuff for now is the right choice

Agree. That brings up my next point. I think Ronnie is honestly a bit slow.

I think maybe. He just seems a bit lost. Haney moved on after a while off the scene and unto religion. Yates went yoga and spiritual. They are all extreme people.

They find it hard to go middle ground

Man that sucks. You would think he would've sued the woman that hit him in her car and ruined his lively hood. Last video I saw on Sam's fitness YouTube channel Lee was saying he was going to Brazil for another neck surgery. He should be over there now. It's crazy how far his right shoulder and arm have atrophied compared to the left.

Apparently he's also selling a bunch of his rec drugs from prior surgery and injury. On top of that selling his trophies etc.. Sad shit, feel for the guy. We all have bad times but man it sounds like he's gotten the shaft.

I don't but if you watch the YouTube video you can pause, cover one half of the body then cover the other half. His t-shirt stays above the bi's on the left arm but not the right. All around much smaller.
