You have no humidity out there. I've lived on both coasts, come to Fl were the humidity is +70% daily in the upper 90's (heat index of 105 +) with a daily case of ball soup just walking to your car.

normally that's true. but not this time.

        https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news...raise-n1236594

"This heat event will be especially dangerous due to higher than normal humidity due to tropical moisture streaming into the region from what was Hurricane Elida, which has since dissipated.

"Usually, California heat waves mean a dry heat, which is a saving grace. But what's unusual here are the remnants of Hurricane Elida, which are adding significantly more moisture into the atmosphere and will make California much muggier," said Daniel Swain, a climate scientist at the University of California, Los Angeles.

"The extra humidity makes a big difference in a bad way, from a public health perspective," Swain added."

If that's true, you're gonna have people dropping left & right. You throw that humidity in when you've never experienced it and it will fuck you up. Whatever you do, do not wear black.

LOL @ the infrastructure in the richest country in the world and in a state with the biggest economy in the US. California alone has a GDP larger than fucken India yet this is the type of shit we have to deal with....

                  -----------

                  KEY POINTS

*An intense multi-day heatwave kicked into high gear Friday, triggering power outages throughout California.

*A Stage 3 emergency alert was declared around 6:30 p.m. by the California Independent System Operator, which runs the state’s power grid.

*More than 300,000 customers in both Northern and Southern California were without power at points Friday evening, according to one power outage tracker. By 10 p.m. power had been restored statewide.

Lol...120F is nuts. I was in Phoenix on business in 1990 when the temperature hit 117F and they shut down the airport. Had to stay there overnight and take the next day's flight. It felt like the blast you feel when you preheat your oven and then open the door to put something in.
