I use my Apple Watch for a fitness tracker and I used to use a Fitbit and I find they are pretty much the same as far as heart rate, steps, and active time. I’m thinking of getting a whoop strap and was just curious if anyone has one and what they think about it. Or if anyone uses something different what they think about it.

It’s a fitness tracker but it doesn’t have a screen it’s just a strap basically but it’s supposed to be better because it tracks by heart rate variability and sleep quality to determine how hard you should workout the next day and how much you’ve recovered from the day beforeOriginally posted by Scrumhalf View PostWhat's a whoop strap? I've never heard of it before.

30 bucks a month? That's pretty spendy. I've got to look into it some more. It has to provide something really special to justify that. Have you looked into Garmin and some of those more fitness-oriented devices, rather than a watch that does double duty as a tracker?

you gotta wear it 24/7 then? i couldn't do it. i put on my nice watch when we go out to a restaurant or whatever and the first thing I do is take it off when I get home. I can't have stuff on me 24/7.Originally posted by David6725 View Post

i think I would stick to the apple watch personally.
just my random uninformed (possibly ignorant) opinion. :D

Yea it’s $30 a month but an Apple Watch is $300 or so. It kinda works itself out. But I haven’t thought about a Garmin I’ll check it out and see what they have to offerOriginally posted by Scrumhalf View Post30 bucks a month? That's pretty spendy. It’s like anything you get used to it being on your arm. And with my Apple watch it has a screen protector so I’m not concerned about scratching it. With an expensive watch it usually has some weight to it that you’ll notice and you’d be more worried about scratching the faceOriginally posted by Bouncer View Post

a slow drain overtime is what kills people with debt. not that $30 will make or break anything. but's just adding to the pile of subscription services and bills etc..Originally posted by David6725 View Post

i'd much rather pay $300 in full right away.
off topic sorry. :D
