    Good read. 1984 (as mentioned in the article) is also a good read. I think what Wells underestimated was man's inherent evil nature and lust for power. Our founding fathers knew this, which is why they authored our constitution, bill of rights & government in a way that was SUPPOSED to be limited government with very limited powers. Also recognized God as the creator and deity because they knew that the common man cannot rule over himself and use his own judgements to govern because his lust for power and greed will almost always out weigh his righteousness. Did you know that about half of the founding fathers were Christian? The rest were atheists, but they knew that there had to be a standard above each person's own reasoning. Some people are exceptions but if your reading this you've probably lived long enough to know that when you give power and control to the common man it Almost always corrupts. Got off on a tangent there but...yeah good read.
