Hurricane Ida is going to make Katrina look an appetizer. Coastal area will see wind gusts near 200mph... To get even the slightest idea of how strong that is, stick your hand out of your car window palm out while you drive at 100mph... then double it, then imagine your whole state taking that abuse for hours...

Worse than the winds will be the flooding. That state will never be the same after this monster..

Will most likely be a Cat 5 when it hits..

To be fair, they are still a developing nation or have been in the past 30 years. So obviously anything they build is going to be new.

That point aside. We absolutely need to get our asses rebuilding and updating our infrastructure.
