  • Google Pixel 7 Pro

Mine is being delivered tomorrow. Looking forward to it. It's basically a cleaner/refined/more powerful version of the Pixel 6. I like the look a lot more.

Kinda spendy for me. I'm just a cheapskate. I'll wait for a bit to see if prices drop. Sounds like a killer phone though.

If you're on google fi (i am) you get it for $799. they also offer 24 month 0% APR. comes out to like $33 bucks a month. can't beat that.

my monthly google fi data bill is roughly $30 bucks a month. with the payments added from this phone it comes out to $65 taxes included.

got it. android 13 takes some getting used to. completely different from android 11 which my old phone had.

phone is great so far. i was concerned about the finger print sensor on the screen because the Pixel 6 had some issues with it being slow. thankfully its super fast on the Pixel 7.

Did you get 7 or 7 pro? Is there any difference other than the size?

            Pro.

few differences. better screen not just bigger. pro has 1440 resolution and 120hz refresh rate, plus it can get much brighter if you need it outside in direct sunlight. pro also has a telephoto lens and more camera features. more memory, bigger battery etc..

Both good phones but the pro has the extra little bells and whistles I like.

Great video review that explains what google is doing with AI and software specific to the G2 chip in this phone.

Good read on the security/privacy specific features of the Titan M2 and Tensor G2 chips on this phone.

looks like the pro also has UWB whereas the standard model doesn't. not a big deal for most but something to keep in mind.

Bouncer, still loving your Pixel? I am thinking of picking one up while it is still on sale.

My Moto 5g Ace is starting to have issues. Randomly, I can't hear the person at the other end of incoming calls even though they can hear me. Sometimes, it's the other way around I thought it only on WiFi calls but it seems to happen even when I turn WiFi off. Not quite sure what the issue is. A phone is no good if it can't do job #1 - make calls reliably.

yea man, love it. it won phone of the year.

i also went with a belroy leather case. by far the best case I've ever had. Went with the darker denim blue one.
