              They work on radio frequency (like walkie talkies) and nothing is in the way, you shouldn't have to have it directly in front of the peripherals in order for them to work. It obviously has low grade electronic components inside.

                Yes Keiser you are absolutley right and I thought of that when I bought it becuase that is always the way it works, but Iwas hoping this one time it would be different. I was WRONG!

                      Ha, I finally got one that works like a charm. It has a distance of 30 feet and you don't even have to have the mouse on a surface to use it. It's pretty killer, you can use it like a pointer and even program it to launch tools off of your computer. It was $50. more than the first one I tried, but well worth it. It's a new product called Gyration and it goes for $100. You could probably find it a little cheaper off of a good website, but I am impatient.
