Today, at 3:58 pm on the 21st of August, after making horrible noises and a slight hint of burning oil , my blender finally blended its last shake and joined the rest of his fallen brethen in that big Walmart in the sky... :bawl:

i am so sorry for your loss. i wish there was something i could do to ease the pain. i hope you can make it through this trying time with the tragic demise of your old friend. remember he was old and tired and now he is in blender heaven making margaritas for marilyn monroe and bob hope. its every blenders fantasy. just try to remember him for all the good times you had together and not for his last painful attempts at blending, it was his time to go.

thanks guy for the support... i went by walmart and got another one along with a rice cooker :D Maybe if i get the toaster and the waffle cooker, they will all form together to make some kind of master kitchen appliance when danger arises...

If you're gonna be using your blender a lot (and most of us on this board do), it's worth the investment to go to a restaurant supply place and get a professional model; they cost more, but are designed for high-volume use. They last a hell of a lot longer than a standard blender.
