Moving

is going to be a pain in the ass.

i signed a lease a day after seeing an apartment and will be moving out this weekend.

bouncer got the big ass truck to haul the big stuff, but the thought of packing all the small shit is about to make me break out in tears. i have a headache thinking about all the junk i've got stored away in nooks and crannies.

Think of it this way....junk that's been stored and you haven't taken out for years you can toss. You can rearrange things how you want them, there won't be any clutter....think of it as a way to start over! good luck

Moving does suck! Donate stuff that you're not using to charities, it's a great way to get rid of clutter (old clothes, books, etc.). You can also invite a few of your friends over to help you...when we moved from NY to FL, Stromba came down first so I had to do most of the packing myself. One night I had a couple of friends over and we blasted through much of it in no time. If you need boxes, the liquor stores usually have the cleanest ones. Black garbage bags work wonders. A drink or two might help relieve the tension and headache too. :D

Are you moving in preparation for your new addition to the family or did you just find a better place?

both - had to move for the dog and this place is a lot better than my apt now.

i could probably do it all in a day. it's just the thought of doing it that irks me :(

Packing sucks but the sooner you start the faster you'll be done! When the packing gets to ya, take a break and hit the gym. :)

Don't be a pack rat. Last time we moved my wife had my packin up boxes of rocks. I figure if I haven't seen whatever I,m packing up in the last year then it goes in the trash. Unless it's something of mine of course.
