How does anyone know how true it is.
It goes back to the whole religion thing. There is not proof of anything in the bible it's all just faith based.

I don't want to ofend anyone. Just my .02

No offense taken accept that there are countless events from the Bible that are proven by archiology. Every time someone sets out to disprove something that happened in the Bible they end up proving themselves wrong. So having Faith in God may be "faith based" but countless events from the Bilble have been proven to be true.

uh-oh, let me rephrase this. it is very true to the bible's accounts of what happened around his crucifiction.

that is like being a psychic. if you make a million predictions then a few are bound to come true. the bible makes a few thousands claims and predicitions of course a few will be true. also lets not forget that it was written 40-100 years after the death of christ so we can all imagine how the stories were embelished over the years.

PS and I am going to see it this sunday - its not all in subtitles is it?

The movie is going to be very graphic. It's about the last 12 hrs. (I think it's 12) before Jesus died. No matter what your religious beliefs are, it's gonna be hard to see what the man went through. I will not see it in the theater but after it's available I might get it on dvd so I can just watch it at home if I get too emotional and just stop it when I want to.

Personally, I believe that a man named Jesus did live and was crusified, I just don't believe he was the son of God. I imagine that for those who do believe, the movie is going to be heartwrenching and very painful to watch.

isnt it weird the guy playing Jesus was struck by lightning during filming, and not hurt!

actually the events of Christs life are documented in not just the bible but in the quran, and in the Jewish books.
there is enough evidence that the events of Christs life happened, its just a matter of whether you believe He was/is God.
