  • anyone familiar with human resources?

exactly a year ago i applied to a company which called me back for an interview, but had to decline because i had just started at a steel mill which now has been closed since december. applications are being taken monday for the same company and was wondering if anyone knew how long applications are kept on file. should i tell them they called but i declined, or should i apply as if it were my first time doing so. any help/opinions will be greatly appreciated. thanks.

Some companies purge their applications every 6 months, others a year or longer. Definitely tell them that you had a previous offer when you go to apply again this time. That may help speed things up for you. Good luck! :)

Re-apply--Your new application will be closer to the top of the stack. Don't mention applying before unless they ask. BB

personally i would call the personell officer and have a chat to them. come across as confident and competent to them and you could be on your way
