Quality athletic socks

I've gotten used to wearing thick wool socks these last few (cold) months and like the extra cushioning they provide. Spring is coming and the woolies will be put away so I'm looking for white athletic socks that will be a good replacement. Any suggestions?

I wear wool socks year round!
The brand I use is called "Smart Wool" I get them online at campmor.com I have been using them for years. They whick away the moisture, but have a great cushion effect. I use the expoditions. They can be pricey for some peoples budget, costing $14-$16 per pair. I love them & wear nothing else.
