no way......he was great but way down the list.......jordan...bird...magic..kareem IMO....and I watched a lot of pro ball back then......I remember the duel between bird and wilkins in game 7 of the playoffs...bird had guaranteed victory at home...at some points it was like a gunfight between them...I think they both had over 40 and celtics won...... -
jordan is unquestionably the best ever, but my all time favorite would have to be larry bird.....who else would come out of a time out on the last play of the game and tell the opposing player where he was going to shoot from and then drain it.....usually a 3 when they were down by 2.....boy had huge nads......Attached FilesComment

Wilkins was nowhere near being in the class of Jordan, Bird, Magic, or even Isaiah Thomas for that matter. It comes down to championships...and Dominique didn't measure up in that department. He was a great player, but he didn't make the players around him better. The truly great ones do just that.Comment

the players around him stopped his championship hopes.Wilkens hit 47 in Birds face.Telling Bird my team cant beat yours but you cant handle me.As far as Wilkens and Jordan go there both Carolina boys,so i like em both.Comment

man...that was an awesome game....neither player could stop the other.......but BIRD hit the shots at the end to win.....and that was ONE game...Bird took it to wilkens more often than not...Dominique was a hell of a player tho........I just liked Larry Legend:) :cool:Originally posted by Gods Son

For the record Wilkens always out scored jordan.they even used to keep their individual points on the screenComment
