When (and why) did the Canadians get new uniforms? Things like that shouldn't be tampered with.

It's a vintage uni from the past...most teams are wearing vintage jerseys for a few games this year. The NHL is marketing them quite heavily...they are big sellers.

That jersey is older than the ones they normally wear? I have watched hockey for all my 39 years and don't remember seeing them before. I believe you, after all, you are Canadian and you're supposed to know about these thing, right? ;)
