I actually like a man taking extra good care of himself. It shows he cares about himself. And, nothing for nothing, but, if a man works hard she should take a little time to be pampered or treat himself to what ever it is he enjoys, weather it's a trip to an art gallery or to the local piza place for a pitcher and a pie.

guys who take care of themselves is definatley a plus in my book. Of course vanity is another issue altogether...

Yeah i pretty much consider my self a Metrosexual.. this girl last summer told me that i was and i was like WTF is that.. after showing me that article and explaining it.. i got her drift :D

Thinking back to my father, I think he was borderline metrosexual back in the day. He owned a bar/resteraunt and felt it was very important to have well kept hands since he was serving people, so he went for manicures, he shaved twice a day, always wore a dress shirt and pants, black shoes and a tie. The only t-shirts he owned were white undershirts to be worn only under a dress shirt. He liked to be pampered and went for massages often (real massages). Although he was balding since his early 20's, he always kept his hair cut short and thankfully never did the combover. However, he loved to eat and was never a fitness buff and he loved to go hunting. Then, once he retired, he stepped out of the box and started dressing down, he bought a few pairs of jeans and some t-shirts but still usually wore a dress shirt, just without the tie. He also bought me the Amy Vanderbuilt's Book of Ediquite when I was young so I would do things right and almost every weekend he took me out to dinner to a very nice resteraunt.

I like to look good but decent clothes a shave a haircut and bath a splash of cologn is about as far as it goes. No manicurs facials of anything like that for me.

I'm married to one, check out his pic!!! LOL, he gets his hair highlighted, and he owns way more clothes than I ever will. He goes shopping for his wordrobe all the time. He works out and eats right. He loves tanning.

I can't complain, he looks great!

it cracks me up that people make these labels. then it is all but impossible to not be labelled because they make up degrees of it. so you can't say I am not "this" it is well I am "this", just to a lesser degree. taking care of oneself is fine, if you do so in the context of your job and life then there is nothing wrong with it. if you are vain you are vain. we don't need a new politically correct label for it.
