Hey guys, had the greatest time skiing in the Catskills this past weekend. We went to Hunter Mountain which is about 3 hours north of NYC in upstate NY!! I did rather well despite the fact that I hadn't skied in about 10 years!!

Glad you had fun and didn't get hurt! I've been skiing there, but that was about 20 yrs ago. I love the Catskills, especially in autumn. You've just made me very homesick, Cory. :whip:

LOL...That was the only time we could take decent pics! I did mostly green runs and a couple somewhat difficult blues and didn't whip out once....It was a blast!! :)Originally posted by MrsPuddlesFL

Back in high school, I had joined the ski club. I'd never been skiing in my life but they said we could take lessons once we got there. I took my lessons and did pretty good for a beginner. The next trip I figure I could do it on my own. Well, I was also a burnout and had taken a hit of mescaline, found myself on the wrong hill...I think the sign was black, but when I got off the lift I found out it was one of the more difficult trails. It litterally took me the entire day to get down that damn hill. I had a good time though and enjoyed crashing into the soft snow on the sides and laying there looking at the trees and the sky. :druggie:

It's the bulky clothes, asswipe!! Next time I'll have to wear a unitard like you do when you ski, so I don't lose my girlish figure. :p I'll just freeze to death in the name of beauty. :rofl:Originally posted by rado

Well lets see....we went to see some live music at radio city music hall on Friday night after I flew in....then we went to bed early so we could get up at 5AM to go skiing all day on Sat. Then we just went to a nice little neighborhood bistro that night in Brooklyn where I was staying when we got back. We were exhausted. Sunday we spent the whole day in manhattan. We went to Century 21 in Lower manhattan near the trade center to do some shoping....went to soho to the patagonia store, the apple computer store, and some other cool places. Went to Union square for lunch at this asian bistro. Took the train up the upper west side to do some shopping at the North Face store. Came back down to Chelsea for a work out and dinner at this carribean place. Then we went out to this club for a little bit and then went home cuz my flight left at 7:30 am. We crammed quite a bit into a few days. I slept like 10 hours last night when I got back...I was so tired.Last edited by Cory; 03-16-04, 09:45 PM.
