Happiness definitely. I've been poor but I was still happy. I've seen misserable wealthy people and wouldn't ever want to be one of them.

Of course, I'd love to be both rich and happy!

i don't understand how rich people can't be happy. money brings me happiness (among other things) not saying that money is everything but try taking your happy ass to a restaurant and pay for a steak with a smile. it just ain't gonna happen buddy. if i was rich i'd be happy as hell. :cash:

happiness obviously. The things I like to do don't cost money. I like to read, be with my family, enjoy nature and discuss philosophy. those are all things that make me happy. all the money in the world couldn't replace that nor could it make it more special.

because money can't change someones psyche. money can delay problems and make it seem as if they weren't there but our subconscious knows what is going on and that is what will make people sad in a heartbeat.

Having made well over six figures a year...AND...been unemployed for over 6 months, I can EASILY say that happiness beats the sh*t outta money.

Money makes you chase more money because you become dependent on the lifestyle it affords you. But happiness, rather than having the same addictive effect, helps you to focus on your life and friends and family. You actually see all the things you can live without.

Nothing wrong with having money. Just not what should get you outta bed in the morning.
