    1-2 last nite -$241
    6-4 for the week +$256

    tonites plays are:

Edmonton Oilers –0.5 over Los Angeles –132

Edmonton has a chance to lay down the hammer as far as a playoff spot goes in the west with a victory against a King team which is struggling and are 4 points behind them in the standings.

The Oilers are 5-1 in their last 6 games with their only loss being a close one at home against a red hot Dallas team which is 5-0-1 in their last 6 games. Edmonton lost the lead in the last minute of the game, then lost the game in overtime, but overall they still played good against the Stars, never giving them the lead until they lost it in overtime. The Oilers offense has scored 3 goals or more in 7 of their last 8 games and 3 goals or more in their last 5 home games which included a 3 goals performance against a red hot Marty Turco on Wednesday night. Ty Conklin made 25 saves and gave up 1 goal in LA on Monday, and hasn't given up 3 goals or more in a game twice in a row in his last 10 starts. Not including games against Ottawa this season, Jussi Markkanen has given up 2 goals or less in 7 of his last 8 starts, and has a 1.89 GAA in 4 games as a member of the Oilers this season.

Kings are in a bad slump right now losing 5 games in a row, with their last loss coming in Vancouver against a slumping Canuck team. The Kings are now just 1-6-2 in their last 9 road games dating back February 10th, with their only road win coming in Phoenix. LA's offense is slumping badly scoring just 3 goals total in their last 3 games. Cechmanek has given up 3 goals or more in 8 of his last 9 games for a 3.77 GAA and was shelled for 4 goals in 2 periods in his comeback game against the Sharks last week.

The Oilers won the last meeting in LA last Monday, now they're on home ice where they play better and LA is on the road where they have slumped the last couple of months.

New Jersey Devils –0.5 over Atlanta +100

New Jersey has always played well in Atlanta going 6-1-2. Their only loss in Atlanta came when Brodeur wasn’t in net. Brodeur is 6-0-2 with a 1.10 GAA lifetime in Atlanta and has a 1.68 GAA in 3 games against the Thrashers this season. Lately he’s given up 2 goals or less in 5 of his last 6 starts for a 1.80 GAA. The Devils have always won at least one half of BTB games on BTB nights 11 out of 13 times this season and has not lost twice in a row in their last 12 games. The Thrashers are 4-1-1 in their last 6 games but most of those games were close game, and almost all of those teams were bad teams which included 3 games against the Capitals.

San Jose Sharks –0.5 over Phoenix –133

To make a long story short, The sharks are hot, going 6-1-1 in their last 8 games, scoring 3 goals or more in 8 of their last 9 games, while the Coyotes are cold, going 1-12-4 in their last 17 games, and have scored 2 goals or less in 9 of their last 10 games.
