Free criminal records site?

Does anybody know of a site were i can access free criminal records.All i can find is sites that say free,then they say join for $24.95 or whatnot

try looking for your county's department of corrections site. i believe you can do a search for the name and see their picture and current convictions, not sure how far back it goes though.
